Of course, driving in Bangkok is different from driving in the States. Aside from the obvious fact that they drive on the opposite side of the road (although we're still using our American car), there are other things to look out for, such as massive urban gridlock...
Motorcycles everywhere (especially between lanes)...
Tuk tuks...
Drivers choosing to go whichever direction suits them best at that moment...
Traffic police...
...and a host of other challenges such as food carts, pedestrians, impending rainstorms, bicycle merchants, street signs in Thai, etc. All in all, Samantha did well and got us home in one piece. She's even eying her next venture out, perhaps to the plant store tomorrow.
