A nice thing about living in Bangkok is that we're able to afford live-in household help. For us, we have Khun Poon who came through a trusted word-of-mouth recommendation and she's been amazing from taking care of the apartment, to watching the kids, to going food shopping and many other things. However, perhaps our favorite thing is that she makes us a great Thai dinner every night. Here's an example from a couple nights ago:
That's red curry with beef, tuna with cabbage and shrimp in glass noodle salad. For dessert, the alien egg looking things are fresh rambutan, one of the many delicious fruits native to Thailand. Everything Poon makes is really good and she really mixes it up, making soups, curries, noodles, vegetables and constantly switching up the fresh fruit for dessert. Plus, she's been doing great work in getting Samantha's spice tolerance up. The quest to get Eliana off her mac and cheese fixation has been tougher...
