Vietnam, Part 3 (Hoi An)

Our last stop in Vietnam, a half-hour drive from where we got off the train at the station in Da Nanh, was Hoi An. The town is a beautifully-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its architecture and lanterns. The first night we headed out into the old town.

Had dinner at a restaurant that trains street kids to be chefs and restaurant workers.

We explored the streets.

We made it down to the river...lanterns were everywhere and the kids got to set their own lanterns off into the water.

The hotel we stayed at was the first hotel in town and had beautiful grounds.

But the town itself was the real reason to come and we spent the next couple of days enjoying it.
