Fruit Carving
In my new position, I was invited to a fruit carving competition at a hotel in Bangkok. I took Samantha along, as we had remembered seeing some fruit carving at an event thrown by the Royal Thai Embassy in DC. The sculptures we saw were amazing in their detail and scope. Using various fruits, vegetables and banana leaves, schools and organizations made pieces that celebrated The King's love of the arts.
